About the Doulas

DoulaMy passion assisting new mothers prepare for birth and adjust to changes that new babies bring had its own birth after my eldest son was born in 2004.  I found that I enjoyed supporting other new mothers on this journey, by providing the resources and information they needed.   In 2008 I made my passion my profession, when I started working as a WIC peer counselor at the Burlington County WIC.  I gained experience working with expectant mothers teaching breastfeeding education classes.

In addition to the hands-on experience, I continued to advance my training.  I was trained as a postpartum doula with DONA (2011), as a birth doula (2013), and as a childbirth educator (2014) with CAPPA. In 2018 I completed my Certified Breastfeeding Specialist training.

Working with families as a birth and postpartum doula and through providing childbirth education has been a very rewarding experience as I work to fulfill the needs of all of my clients by responding to their individual circumstances and wishes. In addition to raising three boys, I am a Breastfeeding Counselor with Breastfeeding USA.

DoulasIn 2009, I completed my Masters in Education in Counseling Psychology and I have worked as a counselor with individuals, couples, children, and families. When I became pregnant with my first child in 2010, I became very passionate about pregnancy, birth, and parenting and knew that I would dedicate my career to serving and supporting new families as a counselor, educator, doula, and birthworker.

I am a Pre-Certified Labor and Postpartum Doula with ProDoula and a trained Childbirth Educator with CAPPA.
